Modern Slavery Statement
Tekate Limited
Financial Year Ending: 31st December 2025
Tekate Limited is a UK-based software development and marketing agency, also trading under the brand Happy Otter. We also provide hosting services in the UK and Australia. As a small business, we are not legally required to publish a modern slavery statement under the Modern Slavery Act 2015. However, we choose to do so voluntarily to demonstrate our commitment to ethical conduct and the prevention of modern slavery and human trafficking.
Our Business and Supply Chain
Our operations are primarily based in the United Kingdom, with a small team and a network of professional suppliers. Our supply chain includes cloud infrastructure, marketing platforms, software tools, and other essential business services, some of which are based outside the UK.
Our Commitments
Tekate Limited is committed to responsible business practices. We maintain a Code of Conduct and Supplier Standards Policy that set out our expectations for ethical behaviour, fair treatment, and legal compliance — including in relation to modern slavery and human rights.
Risk Management
While we consider the risk of modern slavery within our direct operations and supply chain to be low, we assess this risk proactively by reviewing the modern slavery statements of potential suppliers during the procurement process.
Training and Awareness
Modern slavery and ethical sourcing considerations are covered as part of our supplier selection training, ensuring that relevant staff are equipped to identify and manage any potential risks.
Governance
This statement has been approved by the directors of Tekate Limited.
